Today we learned a lot in class. In the class we discussed what each Greek word meant and why it was important. We also talked a lot about the Greek philosopher Socrates. Socrates was an important Greek man back then. He created the system "The Socratic Method." This method was basically a way of debating by asking and answering questions to simulate your critical thinking. This method was a very good one and helped out a lot of debates. But because of this method Socrates was accused for the crime of corrupting the young minds of the citizens. He was told to apologize or he would have to take the consequence of the hemlock. Socrates did not want to apologize. He even said they should be sorry and have to give him a life time supply of food. So he was forced to take the hemlock and died on the spot. So we learned Socrates was a very brave man. This is what i was able to learn in class today.
